locandis locators
locandis locators are the central component for precise indoor localization.
The quality of the position determination of smartphones and tags via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) alone is not sufficient for the application fields of indoor navigation and asset tracking, which is why locandis relies on an extension of the protocol and uses specially developed firmware for this purpose. These locators specified by locandis are available for flexible use as battery-operated locators (runtime: approx. 4 years). For long-life fixed installations and other areas of application, we also supply our locandis locator PCBs to renowned luminaire manufacturers, who support us as cooperation partners in the integration into the lighting infrastructure and can thus offer intelligent lighting.
Deployment
locandis has developed a 100% digitized deployment process.
Our experience with the installation of several thousand locators shows that successful location-based marketing projects depend on the installation, calibration and monitoring of locators being carried out via a central app-based infrastructure that is directly connected to the locandis backend systems. In addition to laser-based measurement, our deployment app takes care of these steps in a fully automated and user-friendly way, so that the process can also be outsourced to external service providers.
locandis SDK
The hub of all locandis app functionalities.
A software development kit (SDK) is available for all applications in which existing mobile apps are to be equipped with locandis technology. On the one hand, the locandis SDK ensures precise indoor and outdoor localization with the aid of sensor fusion. For this purpose, locandis uses a variety of sensors integrated in today’s smartphones, including the earth’s magnetic field and, of course, the locandis locators. Another core functionality is campaign control, which also works completely offline with locandis. The locandis SDK also works when the app is closed.

For the realization of our digital loyalty card and the processing of couponing, point collection and recommendation engine, we have flexible connection options for a variety of providers in the POS and eCommerce sector. The integrated locandis CRM and campaign management system has REST API-based interfaces and can therefore be used immediately for various use cases.
