locandis solutions for campus, museum and trade fairs

Operators of large-scale areas such as campuses, museums and adventure worlds are often faced with the challenge of making it as easy as possible for visitors to find their way around the large areas and multi-story buildings. Within this framework, signage, digital display boards, and staff are often relied upon.

However, implementing navigation and route guidance via a mobile app rarely takes place.

locandis navigation outdoors and indoors

Many large areas of trade fairs, museums or campuses extend over several buildings and thus require indoor and outdoor navigation and routing:

  • Where can I find the next restroom?
  • In which exhibition hall is the next lecture?
  • Where is the cafeteria?
  • Is there a tour of the parking lot?
  • Am I on the right floor?

locandis combines the Bluetooth 5.1 signals of locandis locators for indoor and outdoor navigation with GPS signals for outdoor navigation. For the user, this means that navigation between buildings on multiple floors becomes possible. The map view automatically switches to the current floor or outdoor area, ensuring easy and smooth navigation.

We provide our navigation solution as a whitelabel app, and we can also integrate it into an existing app as an SDK.

locandis digital customer card: digital visitor assistance

In addition to navigation, the locandis solution offers further functions as part of the digital customer card, which personalize and digitally enrich the experience:

  • Location-based messages about exhibits, trade fair stands or other POIs.
  • Digital guide with indoor and outdoor navigation
  • Gamification of the visit by collecting bonus points
  • View opening hours and map of the site
  • Personalized offers in the form of coupons

Thanks to the flexible design of the locandis whitelabel app, the individual components of the app can be selected and deselected according to individual requirements. locandis never takes center stage and sees itself as a pure full-service provider of mobile campus solutions, which for the user looks like a native app in the provider’s branding.
