Digital shopping experience in the hagebaumarkt with locandis

The digital enhancement of the physical shopping experience will be a key challenge for the DIY sector in the coming years. At hagebaumarkt, the locandis solution for digitizing stationary retail through the use of an app-based digital customer card has already been in use for just under a year.

The locandis DIY solution at a glance:

Via the hagebaumarkt app from locandis, location-based cross-selling and upselling campaigns can be delivered directly to customers’ smartphones. Compared to traditional advertising via inserts, it is possible now to measure at the individual customer level which messages have been read and coupons redeemed.

Furthermore, customers can use indoor navigation to find all 60,000 hagebaumarkt products and view availability, price, and product information. This application has a positive impact on the shopping experience on the sales floor. Customers are less frustrated because they can find all the products they are looking for. And contrary to initial expectations, customers stay longer on the sales floor by using the navigation and realize above-average receipt levels.

Such a solution thus enables holistic insight into campaign response, purchasing behavior, and movement behavior on the sales floor. A detailed overview of all functions of the locandis DIY store solution can be found here.
